Inspired by BC ‘s landscapes, new textile sculptures are now completing Claire’s exploration of her forest theme. Claire developed a technique that layers fabric, playing with transparency, shininess, and texture to create textile collages that are one of a kind. The addition of watercolour touches and some natural elements collected locally enhances the 3D effect in her mixed-media art pieces featured in shadow-box frames. Her line of “one of a kind” greeting cards, handmade with similar collage technique, is designed in her Richmond studio.
